Bible of the Rap of the Bible – The Genesis 1
As mentioned before, Suno‘s song generation automatically includes vocals when you add lyrics. I recently came across a video in a post titled “I can’t believe they made this into a song,” where they created a song using Google’s terms of service. This inspired me to try something similar with a passage that we encounter frequently.
I decided to create a song using the first chapter of Genesis from the KJV Bible, which is copyright-free. To contrast the traditional hymn style, I chose to use gangster rap for this project.
Since I wanted to keep the scripture text intact without omitting any part, I asked ChatGPT to help me structure it into verses, hooks, and other song elements. Here’s what ChatGPT came up with:
Intro
Verse 1
Chorus
Verse 2
Bridge
Verse 3
Chorus
Verse 4
Outro

I requested not to modify any of the content, and at first glance, it seemed intact. However, I later noticed that from the “third day” onwards, some repeated parts were missing. (I also miss these parts)
So, I decided to make my own edits to add some impactful repetition, resulting in the final version below:
[Intro]
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”[Verse 1]
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” “And God said, Let there be light, Let there be light, Let there be light, Let there be light” “And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.” “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.” “And God said, Let there be light, Let there be light, Let there be light, Let there be light” “And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.” |
However, since Suno allows only up to 3,000 characters for lyrics, I had to generate the song in two parts. I first created the initial section, then used the “Extend” feature to create the latter part, and finally combined both parts using the “Get Whole Song” option.
I am very pleased with the final result. You can listen to it on YouTube:
